Our fender panels are produced using premium ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with a molecular weight exceeding 5 million g/mol. This material provides the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic, ensuring that the fender facing can absorb heavy shocks from berthing ships without cracking or permanent deformation, even in sub-zero Arctic conditions or tropical heat.

The primary advantage of our UHMW-PE fender facing is its exceptionally low coefficient of friction (0.10–0.20). This "self-lubricating" property allows ships to slide smoothly against the dock or pile during berthing and tidal movements, significantly reducing the lateral shear forces on the fender system and preventing damage to the ship's paint or hull.
