Step-by-step procedure

1. Add foam underlay. 5mm closed-cell foam under panels reduces footfall noise.
2. Install on floating subfloor. Floating plywood on rubber pads decouples from structure below.
3. Use thicker panels. 15mm panels deaden sound vs 10mm.
4. Add wall sound panels. Acoustic panels around rink absorb skate noise.
5. Test and certify. Measure dB before and after; certify for residential use.
